Re-assign unit number for battery testers

The program does not allow two testers to have the same unit number (Box No.). If two testers have the same Unit No., at least one could not be recognized by the computer. In the advanced setup of the LANDCali, Unit No. can be re-assigned. The Current and Voltage Ranges are determined during manufacturing and cannot be changed.

First, connect the tester which needs to change Unit No., with all the other testers disconnected (or turned off). Close LandMon program. Start LANDCali.exe (normally at \LAND\Tools), find “Box From” and click “Connect” (usually set it from 1 to 256, see Figure 5-5), when the tester is found and connected, click “Advanced “(see Figure 5-6). Input a new number in the “Box No” and click “Write”(see Figure 5-6). The Box No. of the device is changed.

If the connection fails, double-check the communication setup. Click “Setup”, and choose “Communication Setup”.

  • Choose COM Port if the tester is connected with an RS232 to RS422 converter.
  • Choose LAN/IP and input the IP Address of the ETH2020 if Ethernet communication is used.

Please note that the Current and Voltage Ranges are determined during the manufacturing process and are not supposed to be modified by customers.
